We only use genuine parts on cars under warranty, although it is quite acceptable to use none genuine, these parts often work out cheaper and the warranty is the same, again the choice is yours. I would like to take this opportunity to put the record straight over cars under warranty and servicing, as long as your car is serviced on time it does not have to return to the dealer, any garage can service your car/van. If then you have problem you are quite in your rights to take it back to the dealer for the repair under the warranty.

DIAGNOSTICS:

Diagnostics on modern cars and vans have become an every day job, but without the proper diagnostic equipment and training it becomes impossible to carrie out the most basic repairs.

M & J has invested in the most up to date diagnostic equipment and training as well as having access to information normally associated with dealer franchises.

We can carrie simple service light resets to complex diagnostics on ENGINE MANAGEMENT, AIR BAG SRS SYSTEMS, ABS ANTILOCK BRAKING SYSTEMS, ALARM AND CENTRAL LOCKING IMMOBILISERS etc.

KEY PROGRAMMING:

Car keys have become small computers in there own right and advancements in technology means if you lose or damage your keys a replacement is often very expensive and difficult to buy and program, we have dedicated equipment to supply and program most ignition keys. AIR CONDITIONING:

M & J has four of its technicians fully trained to work on air conditioning, we have the latest fully automatic air conditioning equipment to help diagnose any problems. If your car has AC it makes good sense to use it all year round as this will keep the seals lubricated and prevent premature gas escape resulting in low pressure state which will cause the system to shut down, one of the most common faults to arise from the lack of use. A standard top up of your AC system will cost from £38.00 plus vat.

TYRES:

We carrie a comprehensive range of tyres to suit all budgets, if we don't have the make or size of tyre you want we can get it within a short period of time.

FOUR WHEEL LASER TRACKING:

M & J has the four wheel laser tracking system which allows tracking of the front and rear wheels, if you have tyres fitted it's always a good idea to check and if need be reset the geometry of the wheels.

CLUTCH AND GEARBOX REPAIRS:

M & J has been working on many different makes and models of car and vans since we established in 1989 amassing a huge amount of experience and knowledge, clutch and flywheel replacement is not a straight forward job requiring in most cases the removal of the gearbox, there are many garages offering cheap clutch replacements, but it's not always wise to opt for the cheapest option, if we fit a clutch and flywheel we will only fit well known makes like LUK or SACHS which would have been fitted in your car when it was new.

REMEMBER CHEAPEST IS NOT ALWAYS WISE.
M & J will always give a competitive estimate and will make every effort to price match.

Gearbox faults are not that common with modern vehicles but if you are unfortunate enough to have a failure we can repair the faulty part without totally reconditioning the gearbox, there is no need to repair what doesn't need repairing keeping cost down.

WELDING REPAIRS:

M & J has been welding for many years and is one of a very few garages that can actually weld to MOT standards. As an MOT station we see welding repairs by other garages and Diy mechanics and the standards are alarming to say the least, if your vehicle requires welding call us and have the job carried out by a professional welder with over twenty years experience.

RECOVERY:

Recovery is not always straight forward and vehicles can get damaged if spoilers and bumpers catch on the the recovery vehicle ramps, our recovery vehicle is a Mercedes with a tilt and slide bed allowing us to recover your car without any damage and transport it to your preferred destination at a very competitive price.
